Procrastination is the process of avoiding a task. It starts from avoiding a painful but necessary task (writing a term paper) and doing something else, usually pleasurable, instead (going to a party). It is a natural process that we all at do one time or another.

The problem with procrastination is that it can snowball: the more work and projects you put off, the less time you will have to do each. This often results in poor quality of work and lost expectations.
