COMPUTER-BASED MAT

The computer-based MAT is a high-level ability test requiring the solution of problems stated as analogies. It consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes. Fluency in the English language, a broad knowledge of literature, philosophy, history, science, mathematics, and fine arts, and the ability to reason out relationships may contribute to the performance on the MAT. There is no foreign-language edition of the MAT. No one is permitted to use a dictionary or any other reference aid when taking the MAT. The following information is established by the University of Arizona Testing Office. For information regarding the MAT at a different institution please contact them directly.

  • SCORE REPORTS
    • An unofficial score report will be printed upon completion of the MAT.

     

  • FEE AND REGISTRATION
    *As of July 1st, 2008, the fee is $140.00.
    • Fee is $140.00. You can also mail either a check or money order along with the registration form to the address below.  We do not accept cash. 

     

  • TO REGISTER FOR THE TEST YOU CAN:
    1. Pay by mail by printing out the REGISTRATION FORM (click here). Make check payable to: THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA. Send payment and completed registration form to:

    2. Come into our office with the registration form and payment.

     

  • REPORTING FOR THE EXAM
    • Test will be administered in Old Main 223. Bring government issued photo I.D.

     

  • REFUND POLICY
    • Your fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
